Lifetime Achievement Award
We’re looking for that special person who has selflessly helped others, whether in the workplace, an organisation, or in their community over a number of years. They might not seek recognition for themselves, so help us to bring their achievements to a wider audience. The Nottingham Post editor will present this award to someone who deserves special recognition for the difference they have made to their community. (Please note the winner of this award will be selected by the Nottingham Post editor Mike Sassi and is not open for nominations).

We want to find an individual who has carried out an act of bravery with no thought for themselves. They could be a police officer, firefighter or paramedic who went beyond the call of duty or simply a member of the public who dealt with an extraordinary situation.

Have you made things happen in your neighbourhood? We want to hear from groups that have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for people in their community. Whether you raised money for a new play area, organised a demonstration, or simply campaigned for safer roads.
Bright Young Thing (18 & Under) award
Do you know an inspirational young person who gives everything they’ve got to achieve their dreams? They might be a budding sports star, talented musician or singer, perhaps showing entrepreneurial flair or making a difference in the world around them.
Good Neighbour award
We’re celebrating those unsung heroes who have put themselves out to improve the lives of those around them. Do you know someone who helps their neighbours by running errands, or someone who keeps an eye on people living alone or has helped out in a crisis?
Kindness to animals award - Vets4Pets MapperlEy
This award will be given to an individual or group who have shown commendable care and devotion to animals, domestic or wild.
Volunteer of the Year award
Thousands of dedicated volunteers devote countless hours to helping people in our community and raising money for charity. This category will recognise the people who carry out a multitude of good work, without asking for anything in return.
Child of Courage award - sponsored by persimmon homes
This category will recognise any youngster who has overcome adversity or shown outstanding bravery and maturity for their years. They may have battled a life-threatening illness or undergone major surgery and come through fighting.
Young Hero Award
This category celebrates young people, teams, and whole schools, who have made a significant impact on the lives of others this year.
Do you know some young role models who are doing amazing work in their local community? This could be through raising awareness of healthy living, taking steps to support important causes or fundraising for charities. These young people are the future – they are building their confidence and resilience, and are already working hard to be the change in creating a better world.
Armed Forces award
This award will go to a current or former member of the military , who is from our community and has shown exceptional dedication, bravery or success.
